Played this in the middle of a VC with you, I enjoyed the game despite not being able to understand it entirely or what it means to you and the team, but it was a nice experience.
Really enjoyed the ambience and the vibes everywhere, especially the second area. The sound design everywhere is also nice, very satisfying in a dark way.
I think it's definitely worth a recommend, shouldn't take much longer than 30-45 minutes to complete.
The game you created was very interesting! The characters are cute. The game is fun. The movies are great!I am Japanese and my English is not good, so I don't understand everything, but I still enjoyed it very much.I look forward to your next one.
Amazing visuals, does feel like the characters and the maps are two different artists for some reason, and the atmosphere was quite nice until the 2nd level.
It might've been the arbitrary sprint limit, the overly large map or the incessant skull enemies but I just partially disengaged once I got used to them.
Unfortunately did literally faint at the 3rd level because maze, the gameplay was quite tedious up till that point and I did not have the energy to do that + maneuvering a maze.
Overall, I'd love to play further and finish the game but also I just couldn't deal with the fairly slow pace.
ty for the feedback! it's perfectly understandable for you to not vibe with the movement's pace. we'll try to pay more attention to the whole game and levels feel in the future <3
Cool short game, the visuals are really nice and I really enjoyed the dark, moody atmosphere. Seriously, it's great, the music fits really well alongside the sound effects here and there. I must point out that the humanoid models do look just a little bit out of place when next to the map itself, in the sense that they felt way more detailed — not that they were bad, just something to keep in mind if that was not the intention. The cutscenes... very good, I especially liked the "Stay" one.
When it comes to the gameplay itself, it is fairly simple so I don't have much to say as it is a "explore around, enjoy the map, find some stuff" type of game, but one thing you might want to keep in mind for future projects is that not making running toggle-able can be quite straining for some players and it made the second section quite painful to play through. Anyway, you guys did a great job and I meant it when I said that the atmosphere was great. It is a very nice gift for a friend, clearly made with care so I hope that they are very pleased with it.
Good work! And I hope to see more from you.
(My apologies if running was actually toggle-able and I just didn't figure it out lol)
tysm for such a great feedback! i honestly didn't expect to receive such a well-thought comment. i'll keep in mind for the future the things you've pointed out. ty again, means so much to us <3
